Is the visitor counter really free? ▾

Yes — completely free, with no hidden costs. PAN21 Counter is a free service from the PAN21 network. There's no subscription and no credit card required. If you want more, the optional Plus upgrade adds a 365-day history and weekly email reports.

Do I need a cookie banner for the counter? ▾

No. PAN21 Counter sets no cookies and doesn't use browser fingerprinting. We only store an anonymous daily hash of the IP address to recognize unique visitors. It contains no personal data and doesn't require cookie consent.

Which websites can I add the counter to? ▾

Any site where you can add JavaScript: plain HTML pages, WordPress, Shopify, Wix, Jimdo, TYPO3, Joomla, static sites, GitHub Pages, Vercel, Netlify and many more.

How are bots filtered out? ▾

We check the user agent of every request and filter out known crawlers, search engine bots and automated tools. Only real browser visits are counted.

Can I register more than one website? ▾

Yes. Each website gets its own counter ID and embed code. Just fill in the form again.

What is a "unique visitor"? ▾

A unique visitor is someone who visits your site for the first time on a given day. If the same person comes back several times that day, it counts as one unique visitor but several pageviews.
